At the September 26th KPUD commission meeting, the Klickitat PUD Commissioners approved Resolution No. 1842 providing for the 2023- 2024 Low Income Elderly Discount. This KPUD assistance program has been in place and since 1979. It provides eligible customers discounts on their electric bills between December and May, to help ease the energy burden during winter months.
The 2022-2023 Low Income Elderly Discount program (Senior Discounts) provided assistance to nearly 400 KPUD customer with discounts extended in excess of $76,000 last year.

Klickitat PUD is very grateful for the partnership we have with Klickitat County Senior Services. Both the White Salmon and Goldendale Senior Service offices work with our senior communities to promote the program and qualify eligible KPUD customers.
This year Klickitat PUD is joining Senior Services, Washington Gorge Action Programs and Yakama Nation at a number of community sites to qualify customers for this program and other energy assistance programs through November.
